As of March 1, 2010, the ACOS clinic will have closed.  Dr. McCalla has chosen support our nations young men & women in the military by serving himself.

On behalf of Dr. McCalla & the ACOS employees, we would like to thank the many well wishers who have called, stopped by or have sent flowers over the past several weeks.  As we close our offices we would like to thank the patients and referral providers who believed in our clinic and our patient-centric education philosophy of providing general medical / surgical care in the west valley.

In context of the status of our nation at war, and with our health care system already dysfunctional but on the cusp of a major government tsunami-type overhaul, it has come time for patients and their doctors to seek their safest ground.   We do not know what will happen in the future, however, we are convinced the delivery of patient care will change dramatically in the next 5-10 years.  All indicators suggest independent solo-specialty providers will be an early casualty of unintended consequence with government regulation of health care.  This is not necessarily a negative consequence for patients, it is just a reason for those wondering why we are closing at this time.

As we recommend to all of our patients, please remember to look out for your family and friends whenever they are in & out of the health care system.  Use common sense logic and remain involved in the health care delivery process regardless whom your doctor / provider.  God bless.
